the Emory Facial Center, Dr. Yellin and his staff take great pride

“One of the greatest gifts that any individual can receive
is a second chance. I was given another opportunity to begin my life
by Dr. Seth Yellin. On July 3, 2004 I contracted a resistant staphylococcus
infection that resulted in the collapse of my nasal sidewall and
caused severe septal deviation. I also had a severe saddle shaped
nose that dramatically changed my appearance. Not only did my physical
appearance alter but so did my mental health. I became very depressed
due to my loss of work and my inability to function as I did before.
This condition made it difficult for me to breathe and function properly.
I was forced to leave my job as a healthcare executive, eventually,
forced onto disability.
I
was unable to find a surgeon that would be willing to take the
risk to operate due to my underlying medical
condition and the type
of infection, which caused the initial damage. My partner and I
went to two different practices that basically delivered the same
message – ‘You will have to deal with this condition
for the rest of your life.’
We
took one final opportunity to seek another opinion before giving
up completely. The day we met with Dr. Yellin he was so compassionate
and caring. He explained that there were options.
On
February 1, 2006 Dr. Yellin performed major reconstructive surgery
on my
nose. Three months later, the results are nothing
short of
remarkable. Not only has my outward appearance charged completely
but I am more self-confident and have been able to “return” to
normal life.

" Dr. Yellin combined his impeccable surgical skills with an artist's
true sense of aesthetics and correct facial proportion to produce
an effect that is both subtle and yet powerful, exceeding my original
expectations. While my surgery was not motivated by a desire to look
younger per se, but just better, tighter and not sagging at age 56,
I was very pleased to see that I do, in fact, look surprisingly younger
without looking "lifted" at all. Close friends who
are unaware that I've had the surgery comment on how good I look
without
really knowing why they think so.
At the outset Dr. Yellin spoke frankly with me about considering
having my upper eyelids done and the lowers lasered as he felt this

"Dear
Dr. Yellin, I
just wanted to thank you for giving me the nose that I've always
wanted. I absolutely LOVE my new nose and although
it's only been
a few months, have become completely used to it and feel like
it's the
nose I've always had. It looks so natural and nothing like
a nose that's been 'done.'
I
had never been happy with my nose before and was constantly preoccupied
with its size and shape. However, I was scared about
surgery. In
a way, I'm glad I had that fear, otherwise I would have had
