Seth A. Yellin,
M.D., a board-certified facial plastic surgeon (American
Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery), is the Director
of the Emory Facial Center, Co-Director of the Emory Cranial & Facial
Clinic and Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery at Emory Healthcare. He received
his undergraduate degree with honors from Emory University and his medical
degree with honors from New York University School of Medicine.
Following
six years of general surgical and head & neck surgical training
in New York City at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat
Hospital,
New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center, Dr. Yellin completed a fellowship in facial plastic
surgery in Tampa, Florida under the Directorship of Richard T. Farrior,
MD, a
world authority in the field of facial plastic surgery through the American
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Following his fellowship,
Dr. Yellin, his wife Valerie and their two sons settled in Atlanta
where he started a private facial plastic surgery practice and was
appointed
clinical assistant professor of surgery at Emory Healthcare. After
several years, Dr. Yellin joined Emory Healthcare as a full-time professor
and
Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery.
As an educator,
Dr. Yellin currently teaches the art and science of facial plastic
surgery at Emory University
School of Medicine. He also contributes
frequently to the medical literature and lectures throughout the United
States. He is the director of several nationally recognized continuing
medical education facial plastic surgery courses and is an exam writer
for the American Board of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Yellin
is a nationally recognized expert on creating a “natural look” when
performing facial rejuvenation procedures; and has appeared on NBC,
ABC, CBS, CNN and Fox Television News, and has been interviewed by
local, national
and international publications discussing facial plastic surgery.
